As per information shared by Instagram head Adam Mosseri on Threads, Meta is pushing some new nifty features to Threads. Notably, the platform is adding a ‘reposts' feature to its ‘Following' feed to help you manage the growing volume of shared content. Moreover, Threads is also getting a new reposts tab that will provide a consolidated view of all the posts they have reposted.
The new reposts tab on Threads makes it easier for anyone to discover reposted content. The ‘respot' tab on Threads is expected to roll out soon. Besides the reposts tab, Instagram is also adding a new feature to display the reposts in the Following feed. While both features are said to be rolling out, they aren't live for many users on both iOS and Android.
While these features aren't that big of a deal, they do improve the user experience on the Threads platform. More so because recently, it was found out that the monthly active users on Threads have declined drastically. So, this could be another way for Meta to keep users engaged on their platform.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also announced that improved search and web clients are expected to arrive in the next few weeks. All these decisions are in line to convince its users to return to the platform.
