Meta announced Meta AI, the company’s Gen AI-powered chatbot, for Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp, last year. Initially, the company made it available in the US. Earlier this year, it expanded the chatbot to thirteen countries, and last month, the brand launched it in India.

Now, Meta is expanding the availability of Meta AI once again along with adding support for more languages and features.

Meta AI is now available in seven more countries

Meta has announced that it has launched Meta AI in Argentina, Cameroon, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru. With that, Meta’s virtual assistant is now available in a total of 22 countries. Meta has also added support for four more languages to the chatbot: French, German, Hindi, Hindi-Romanized Script, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

You can now ask Meta AI to create images imagining you as anything

Meta has also added four new features to Meta AI. First, you can now ask Meta AI to imagine you as something and the chatbot will create an image based on the prompt. For example, you can say “Imagine me as an astronaut” and the virtual assistant will create an image where you look like an astronaut with planets in the background.

Meta’s chatbot can now edit images it generated

Second, now if you ask Meta AI to create an image and it comes up with one, you can then ask it to edit that image with your specific requirements. For example, you can type “Imagine a cat snorkeling in a goldfish bowl” and when the chatbot comes with an image, you can say “Change the cat to a corgi” and Meta will then come up with another image based on your prompt.

You can now access Meta AI more easily

Third, Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp now allow you to access Meta AI right in the window for creating a story, post, or status, making it easier for you to post images created by the chatbot.

Meta's virtual assistant can now help you with math and coding

Fourth, Meta AI can now help you with “more complex questions, especially on the topics of math and coding,” thanks to Llama 405B.

With that, you can “get help on your math homework with step-by-step explanations and feedback, write code faster with debugging support and optimization suggestions, and master complex technical and scientific concepts with expert instruction.” Meta says that you can even “combine Meta AI’s coding expertise and image generation capabilities to build a new game from scratch or put a fresh spin on a classic favorite. Turn your wild idea into a reality in just minutes, and even put yourself right into the game.”

Meta AI will soon be available on Meta Quest

Next month, Meta will also make Meta AI available on Meta Quest in the US and Canada in experimental mode, allowing you to do a lot more with the VR headset.
