The Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, has announced that Threads has started testing the ability to save posts on the social media platform. According to an image shared by Meta, you will be able to save a post on Threads by clicking on the three-dot icon at the top-right corner of a post and tapping on the Save button. Once you bookmark a post, you can go to the saved posts section and find all your favorite posts.
According to Adam, the ability to save posts has been one of the heavily requested features. He also said that this is “a limited test.” So, not many people will be able to see the feature now. There’s also no info about when this feature will become available more widely. That being said, going by Thread’s feature rollout history, expect the ability to save posts to roll out to the public in the next few weeks.
In the last couple of months, Meta has released Threads in Europe, made it possible for people to delete their Threads profile independently of their Instagram profile, and introduced tags. Expect Meta to keep rolling out new features for Threads consistently to bring it on par with X/Twitter.
