It's been known for a while now that Bethesda has been working on a new Indiana Jones game titled Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Microsoft provided a glimpse of the title during its Xbox Developer Direct event last month. That's also when the game was officially announced for Xbox and PC.

This naturally had PlayStation 5 owners concerned, as there wasn't any confirmation at that point in time whether this game would be released for Sony's console as well. While there's no confirmation as yet, there are promising signs that Microsoft may launch the title on PS5 as well.

More Xbox exclusives could find their way to the PS5

The Verge hears from someone familiar with Microsoft's plans that there are discussions about launching the new Indiana Jones game on the PS5 as well. There seems to be a multi-platform approach being considered for some games over at Microsoft. The company is considering which games would remain exclusive to its platform and which would be made available for platforms like the Sony PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

So far, it seems that the new Indiana Jones game has found its way on the list of titles that would be released for other platfroms as well. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will initially be launched as an Xbox exclusive but this period of exclusivity will reportedly be short as the title will arrive a few months after the game's possible December 2024 release for Xbox and PC.

The new Indiana Jones game isn't the only title that's being considered for a multi-platform release. The report also mentions that some Xbox exclusives, including Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush, may also be released for both the PS5 and the Nintendo Switch.
