WhatsApp has been finally adding features that users have been asking for years. First, it added the ability to seamlessly transfer data from Android to iOS and vice versa. Later, it added the ability to use the same account on multiple phones. Now, the company seems to be working on the ability to use two separate WhatsApp accounts in the same app.
WhatsApp could soon allow adding multiple accounts in the same app
WABetaInfo has gained access to the latest beta version of WhatsApp Business (2.23.13.5) for Android. It allows adding two separate WhatsApp accounts in the same app. It means that people won't have to use features like Dual Messenger or Secure Folder to use two different WhatsApp accounts on the same phone. This will be useful for people who have multiple profiles (personal and work) but like to carry only one device).
It is still unclear if they would also be able to use dual accounts on companion devices that are linked to the main device. People who use phones with a dual-SIM configuration can use this feature without installing a different instance of WhatsApp.
Right now, the feature is working on the Business version of the app, and signs suggest that the feature will also be released to the regular version of WhatsApp. This feature is currently under testing and could be released in stable form in the next few months.
