Samsung, after releasing the June 2026 security patch for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S25, and Galaxy S24, is now offering the latest security update to the Galaxy S23 lineup.
At the moment, the brand is rolling out the new software update only in its home market, South Korea. It is 444.60MB in size and carries firmware version S918NKSS8FZF1 (via Tarun Vats).
The June 2026 security patch fixes 45 security issues present in the previous OS version of the Galaxy S23, making the phone more secure than before. To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 with One UI 5.1 (Android 13) and promised to offer it four major OS upgrades. By rolling out One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2), the brand has fulfilled that promise. As such, it may not get One UI 9.0.
