Last week, Samsung started releasing a new software update to the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in South Korea. It brought a fix for an issue related to the touch functionality of the display that was introduced with a previous update to these smartwatches. Well, Samsung has now started rolling out the same software update to the company’s latest wearables in Europe and the United States.
The new firmware for the Galaxy Watch 6 has version R930XXU1AXC2 and that for the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is R960XXU1AXC2. The changelog mentions only one change and that is “Stabilization codes for touch-screen operation have been applied.”
If your Galaxy Watch 6 or the Wearable app on your smartphone hasn’t already notified you about the update, you can check for it manually on your smartwatch by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install or in the Wearable app by going to Watch settings » Watch software update » Download and install. Samsung should start rolling out the update in other regions in the next couple of days.
