Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
Samsung offered the August 2026 security patch first to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and the Galaxy Z Flip 8. Now, the brand is rolling out the latest security patch to their predecessors, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Samsung is rolling out the updates first in its home country, South Korea. The updates for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 have firmware versions F966NKSSCBZH3 and F766NKSSCBZH3, respectively (via Samsung Community).
The August 2026 security patch fixes 56 security issues present in the previous firmware. That makes the two phones more secure than before. Samsung should expand the availability of the new update to more regions over the next few days.
You can check for the latest update for your Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates. The two phones are also expected to receive a major update offering One UI 9.0 (Android 17) very soon.
