Last month, Roland Quandt revealed that Samsung is developing a new tablet, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024). If that name sounds familiar, you are right. Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in 2020. The company then brought a refreshed variant of that device in 2022, which was dubbed the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022). Now, the company is refreshing the tablet once again, and this time, it will arrive as the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024).
Since then, two tablets, bearing model numbers SM-P620 and SM-P625, have been spotted on multiple platforms, including BIS, FCC, and GCF. These tablets are assumed to be two variants of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024). However, there was no confirmation of the speculation. Fortunately, that’s changing today.
The SM-P620 and the SM-P625 have been spotted on Bluetooth SIG, and the listings of both models reveal that their official name is Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024). The platform also reveals that the upcoming tablet will have Bluetooth v5.3, suggesting that it will have a new processor. Previous reports have suggested that the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite will have the Exynos 1280 chipset. However, that SoC supports only up to Bluetooth v5.2. So, the tablet might come with a different (and newer) processor.
Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) expected features and price
According to multiple leaks, the only difference between the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) and the previous model, which is the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022), will be the processor. For your reference, the older model features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G/732G. Other specifications of the upcoming tablet are expected to be similar to its predecessor, including a 10.4-inch LCD with FHD+ resolution and 60Hz refresh rate, an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP selfie camera, a 7,040mAh battery, and stereo speakers.
A previous leak claims that the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite will come in Wi-Fi-only and LTE models and both of them will be available in 64GB and 128GB storage options. The leak also reveals the prices of the four models. You can check them out here.
