We haven't heard much about the unannounced Galaxy A04 for over a month. After all, Unpacked was the highlight of August, and there's been a lot of buzz surrounding Samsung's new foldable phones and Galaxy Watch smartwatches. Nevertheless, the low-cost Galaxy A04 is back in the headlines as it is seemingly inching closer to its debut.
More hardware details and Galaxy A04 renders have surfaced, painting an almost-complete picture of what's to come. According to the details leaked thus far, the Galaxy A04 has a 6.5-inch HD+ display, a 5,000mAh battery, and a dual camera system comprising a 50MP primary shooter (f/1.8 aperture) and a 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4).
The phone has an Infinity-V display design, and future customers should have at least four color options from which to choose: black, copper, dark green, and white. You can refer to the image gallery below for a closer look at the handful of leaked official renders. (via @Sudhanshu1414)
More Galaxy A04 specifications and leaked renders
In addition to the specs above, the Galaxy A04 will also carry a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and should offer Wi-Fi 5GHz and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
The Galaxy A04 should wrap its internal components in a polycarbonate unibody that weighs 192 grams and measures roughly 164.4 x 76.3 x 9.1mm. It's likely to ship with 3GB of RAM, but the exact chipset brand and model remain unknown. The SoC might be supplied by MediaTek.
In addition to the Galaxy A04, Samsung is also preparing the Galaxy A04s for release. The aforementioned model got leaked in full yesterday and should hit the European market for €169, but the non-S variant will cost less. The A04s employs the Exynos 850 chipset and carries 3GB of RAM.
