Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy A36. It offers the July 2026 security patch, which fixes 57 security issues present in the previous firmware.

The brand seems to have released the update first in its home country, South Korea. It carries firmware version A366NKSS8CZG1 (via Samsung Community).

Samsung should release the latest update for the Galaxy A36 in other countries over the next few days. When it makes the new firmware available in your region, your phone will notify you to install it. You can also check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A36 in June 2025 with One UI 7 (Android 15). The tech giant promised to offer it six major OS upgrades and six years of security updates. So far, the brand has offered one major upgrade, and the device is currently running on One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). It is eligible to get One UI 9.0 (Android 17).
