Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra owners are looking forward to more camera enhancements with upcoming software updates, while those who own a Galaxy S23, S23+, or S23 Ultra have fixes for bugs and increased battery drain introduced by the One UI 6.1 update at the top of their most wanted list.
Next Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 update may do more than just enhance security
The last couple of updates for these devices have focused on improving security. But that may not be the case for the next update. Samsung is testing new firmware for the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy S23 series, and the build numbers for these firmware suggest that they will include more than just security enhancements.
Unfortunately, we can't say for sure what the next software update will bring to the 2023 and 2024 Galaxy S flagships. Samsung doesn't usually reveal its plans for upcoming updates. The Galaxy S23 series update is arguably more important. One UI 6.1 brought some issues, such as drastically high battery drain, that a lot of users are understandably upset about.
Of course, Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra users have as much of a right to be upset. The camera experience on these phones, especially the Ultra model, isn't as good as it can be. Samsung is expected to bring improvements to telephoto camera quality and white balance accuracy for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and the sooner those improvements arrive, the sooner users can get the experience they paid for.
When will these updates be released? There is no info on that right now, but we will let you know once they're available, so stay tuned.
