Samsung hasn't officially said that the Galaxy Note lineup has been discontinued. The company has suggested that a new Note model could arrive next year, but there have been many signs that may not end up happening, with perhaps the biggest one being that the S Pen is now supported on the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Z Fold series of phones.
But while we wait for confirmation on whether or not another Note flagship is coming, rumors are going to keep flowing in, and the latest one will please Note fans: Tipster Ice universe tweeted out earlier this week that “someone in the supply chain has seen evidence of the existence of the next generation Galaxy Note.”
Now, without more information to go on, we can't really get too excited here. After all, unless Samsung is actually going to give us what we want and launch a Galaxy Note in the first half of 2022, there's still around a year to go before the next Galaxy Note flagship would arrive (at least if Samsung has plans to launch one). That makes it hard to put too much stock in any rumors at this point in time.
Frankly, the way Samsung has been pushing to make its foldable phones more mainstream and bringing S Pen support to more and more devices, we are going to remain skeptical of the possibility of Samsung continuing the Note series going forward. And we'd advise you to do the same, no matter how much you may be longing for a new Galaxy Note flagship.
