Storage. We can't get enough of it. Our phones hold so much of our content and files that often we need to pop in a microSD card. However, this won't be possible if you're interested in buying the new Galaxy Z Fold 4.
As expected, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 doesn't have a microSD card slot. It's hardly surprising, considering the fact that its predecessor didn't have one either.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 doesn't have a microSD slot but offers more storage
It would have been better if the Galaxy Z Fold 4 did come with a microSD card slot. Samsung is aiming this device toward professionals and power users. Those users tend to carry a lot of stuff on their phones so they may not find the internal storage enough.
The great thing Samsung has done this time around is offer even more internal storage. Previously, the Galaxy Z Fold handsets were only available with 256GB and 512GB of onboard storage. There's a 1TB variant available as well for those who need maximum storage. However, the 1TB Galaxy Z Fold 4 is only available from Samsung.com.
Be that as it may, at least there's now an option for users who need a lot of storage. They can pay a bit more money and get the top-of-the-line variant. Customers should take advantage of Samsung's pre-order offer. If they pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold 4, they'll get the 512GB variant for the same $1,799 price of the 256GB. It's a great way to stretch your dollars a bit further.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is now available for pre-order in major markets across the globe. Samsung will release the device on August 26.
