
The great thing about Android devices compared to iPhones is that you get the ability to side load apps. This means you can even install apps that aren't available on the Play Store.
Side loading TikTok now possible on Android phones in the US
It's good to be cautious when using this feature so that you don't end up installing potentially compromised apps, but companies have been known to use direct downloads as a way to let their users access the service when the Play Store route is closed.
The official TikTok and TikTok Lite apps are now available for download from the company's official website. The side loading process is easy once you've got the package from the website, but keep in mind that newer Samsung phones block side loading by default. Just follow the simple on-screen instructions after download completes to install TikTok on your Samsung Galaxy phone in the United States.
Even though President Trump signed an executive order merely hours after his inauguration to stay the enforcement of the US ban on TikTok, the app has not yet been restored on the Play Store and the App Store.
Android users can now get the latest version of the app directly while iOS users can only wait for the app to be restored since they can't perform side loading on their preferred platform. Perhaps it's time for them to look at buying one of the new Samsung phones?
