Samsung's been busy rolling out the One UI 4.1 update for flagships launched before the Galaxy S22 series, but the company is also finding time to slip in the usual security updates for many of its devices at the same time.
The March 2022 security update, which is the latest available, is rolling out to the original Galaxy Z Flip today. It comes bearing firmware version F700FXXS8FCV1 and is rolling out in at least 10 countries. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like all the new One UI 4.1 features are included in this update, so Z Flip owners might have to wait a little longer before they get to enjoy those.
That said, given Samsung's recent track record, we're guessing the One UI 4.1 update will hit the Galaxy Z Flip before the end of the month. As usual, though, not all markets will get it on the same day, and many customers might have to wait until April.
For now, Galaxy Z Flip owners can check for and upgrade to the March security update from their phone's Settings » Software update menu. You can also use our firmware archive to download the latest firmware for your country and manually install it on the phone using a Windows PC.
