If you're one of the many people who play Pokemon Go and you've upgraded your Samsung Galaxy smartphone to One UI 5.1.1, chances are you're facing some problems in getting the game to run on your device.

A lot of reports have come in from users as they face problems when trying to play Pokemon Go on their Galaxy device after it has been updated to One UI 5.1.1. If you haven't updated your phone by now, perhaps this is something to keep an eye out for.

The game works fine on devices with One UI 5.1.1 pre-installed

Many users have been complaining online by posting on Reddit, Twitter, and other networks. They explain that they're unable to log into Pokemon Go after installing One UI 5.1.1 on their Samsung device.

Whatever the issue is, it appears to be caused by the upgrade. We've tested logging into the game on multiple Galaxy Z Fold 5 units, which come with One UI 5.1.1 out of the box, and the game works fine. This suggests that the problem only affects devices that have been upgraded to One UI 5.1.1.

There should be a fix arriving in the near future to sort this out. However, some users have already come up with a workaround by clearing the app cache and data for the Google Play Store, Google Play Services for AR, Google Play Services, and the Google app. This seems to do the trick but your mileage may vary. If you'd rather not deal with has hassle, consider holding off on that One UI 5.1.1 upgrade before this issue is fixed.
