In two days, we will finally get an official introduction to the Galaxy S24 lineup and all the upgrades the S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra models will bring over the Galaxy S23 series and other older devices. We will also learn more about One UI 6.1, the version of One UI that will come preloaded on the new flagship with a plethora of AI features.
One UI 6.1 will come to many existing Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Samsung has been testing the new software for some eligible devices, including the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22, over the last few weeks, and it appears that the company is now testing One UI 6.1 for several more devices.
One UI 6.1 test firmware has been spotted on Samsung's servers for the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A34. The apparently sudden appearance of firmware for all these devices suggests that Samsung is making solid headway in the development of One UI 6.1.
However, as we had revealed in an exclusive report, One UI 6.1 may take longer to arrive on existing devices compared to One UI 5.1 and other previous minor One UI updates. That's because One UI 6.1 may not be a minor update owing to all the AI features Samsung is introducing with its upcoming flagship, even if those AI features may not come to every phone or tablet that's eligible for One UI 6.1
For now, the only thing we can say for sure is that One UI 6.1 will start rolling out to the Galaxy S23 and other devices in the first three months of the year. We'll be on the lookout for more information on the update's release, so be sure to check back later.
