The Galaxy Watch 6 exited the One UI 6 Watch beta testing period more than a month ago, and now, we're seeing the stable firmware hitting the smartwatch in more markets.
Galaxy Watch 6 users in India are now getting the stable One UI 6 Watch update. Availability expands gradually, and Watch 6 users can look forward to a 1.85GB download.
The firmware version is identified as BXJ5 (last four characters), and the update includes the October 2024 security patch. Other notable changes and additions to One UI 6 Watch include:
- A new font.
- Double Pinch gesture.
- Touch-sensitive AOD (Always On Display).
- Quick Panel redesign.
- Redesigned notification cards.
- Improved scrolling. You can now flick the screen for faster scrolling of notifications and tiles.
- Per-app notification settings are available directly on Watch.

These software features debuted with the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra earlier this year. They are now making their way to older Wear OS smartwatches, but the process is gradual.
The Galaxy Watch 6 has the highest priority, followed by the Watch 5 series. The latter also got the One UI 6 Watch update in select markets yesterday.
