While no other company makes as many types of devices as Samsung, integration between them hasn't been the best. The South Korean firm has been trying to improve on that front. One UI 7.0 brings a new feature called Camera Continuity to enhance integration between Galaxy laptops, phones, and tablets.

One UI 7.0 gets Camera Continuity, improved Continuity features

The One UI 7.0 update brings the Camera Continuity feature. It improves productivity by making it easier to import pictures captured using your Galaxy phone's or tablet's camera to a Galaxy Book laptop. For instance, you could use Samsung Notes on your Galaxy Book laptop and import images using your Galaxy phone's or tablet's camera.

This feature only works when all the devices are signed into the same Samsung Account, have Bluetooth turned on, and are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. The improved Continuity feature now works with more things, like syncing Wi-Fi network credentials.

If you have a device running One UI 7.0, you can find the Camera Continuity feature by navigating to Settings » Connected Devices » Continue On Other Devices.

Earlier (for instance, in One UI 6.1), this menu was named Continue Apps On Other Devices because it only worked with apps, including Samsung Internet and Samsung Notes. You could also use your Galaxy phone as a webcam for your Galaxy Book.

Samsung ships its Galaxy Book laptops with the Galaxy Settings app and several other Galaxy ecosystem apps. You can copy and paste files, images, and text between Galaxy phones and laptops. You can also sync pictures and videos between your devices.

You can mirror your Galaxy Book's screen on a Galaxy Tab or wirelessly use the tablet as your Galaxy Book's second screen. You can also use the Galaxy Book's (or any Bluetooth) keyboard and trackpad to control your smartphone or tablet. You can share files using Quick Share.
