Now that Samsung has unveiled One UI 6.1.1 with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6, all eyes are on One UI 7.0. The next big version of One UI, based on Android 15, is expected to bring significant design changes and new features. A report claims that One UI 7.0 will feature excellent animations, and its beta version could be released soon.
One UI 7.0 update with fluid animations could arrive in beta form in July/August 2024
According to reliable tipster Ice Universe, Samsung plans to release the One UI 7.0 Beta update in July or August 2024 if there are no major internal setbacks in its development. Earlier, the tipster claimed that One UI 7.0 would bring ultra-smooth animations (similar to the ones seen on iOS and ColorOS). However, the tipster ended up deleting their tweet.
Earlier reports claimed that Samsung would introduce redesigned icons, smoother animations, and a revamped Quick Panel layout. One UI 7.0 will reportedly also include a redesigned camera app featuring the quick controls bar near the modes switcher. Some other new features that we can expect from One UI 7.0 include a basic App Lock and a vertical app drawer (through Good Lock).
