Samsung was expected to release the first One UI 7.0 beta update by the end of July 2024. However, the update was delayed, and it was then reported that the One UI 7.0 Beta Program would begin in the second half of August. Even that didn't happen. It is now being reported that the head of Samsung's mobile division is personally making sure One UI 7.0 development is satisfactory.

Samsung MX head TM Roh is personally overseeing One UI 7 update development

According to reliable leakster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) head TM Roh is personally overseeing the development of the One UI 7.0 update. Apparently, he began paying special attention to the software experience on Samsung's Galaxy devices. If this is true, the software quality on the South Korean firm's smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches could see a huge improvement soon.

We have already seen reports about One UI 7.0 featuring much smoother animations and transitions. It is also rumored that Samsung's new One UI version is generally smoother overall. Samsung reportedly delayed the release of the One UI 7.0 beta update to ensure the software has as few bugs as possible and generally performs in a stable manner.

Watch why we are excited about One UI 7.0 in the video below.

Per previous leaks and reports, One UI 7.0 brings a major UI and UX revamp, featuring a new Quick Panel layout, smoother animations and transitions, newer app icons for some stock apps, more rounded notifications, new widgets, a completely revamped Camera app with improved one-handed access, and a pill-shaped UI element at the top of the screen that shows ongoing activities (like a timer).

Samsung could open the One UI 7.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy S24 series before the end of this month. The Beta Program, as usual, could be available in China, Germany, India, the UK, and the USA. Other Samsung devices could get be added to the upcoming beta program over the next few weeks.
