A few days ago, we reported that the app drawer on One UI 7.0 has an unnecessary ‘Secured by Knox' watermark. It irked a lot of users, including us. Thankfully, Samsung has confirmed that it will remove that watermark. But when will that happen?

One UI 7 app drawer's ‘Secured by Knox' watermark won't be present in stable version

Samsung has confirmed to One UI 7.0 beta testers that the ‘Secured by Knox' watermark only exists in the app drawer (bottom right corner) to indicate that the software is in beta version. Thankfully, the watermark won't be present in the stable version of One UI 7.0. That's a relief!

The first beta version of One UI 7.0 was released last week, and more beta updates are expected to be released over the next few weeks. The stable update could be released sometime early next year.

Watch our comparison of One UI 7.0 with One UI 6.1.1 in the video below.

One UI 7.0 brings a major UI design revamp, featuring a new Quick Panel design and more prominent notifications. It also brings a Now Bar for certain ongoing activities, a vertical app drawer, new lock screen clock styles, exquisite animations and transitions, and a new charging animation.

The Galaxy S25 series is expected to be launched in the second half of January 2025, and the devices will be the first to run One UI 7.0 out of the box. The upcoming high-end phones could also get some exclusive One UI 7.0 features, but things will only get clearer next month.
