Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7.0 for Galaxy smartphones and tablets brings a ton of new features. We have talked about most of the small and big additions, especially the important ones, in our articles and videos.

However, the new software has so many new features that we are coming across new ones as we are using it. As it turns out, One UI 7.0 also offers new options in Parental Control, enabling you to protect your children in a better way.

As spotted by Mishaal Rahman on Android Authority, on Galaxy S25 with One UI 7, when you go to Settings » Digital Wellbeing and parental controls, there is now a Content restrictions option, which isn’t present in Android 14-based One UI 6. It gives you two options, Web content and App and game age ratings.

Web content and App and game age rating in Parental controls

The former allows you to block explicit websites in the Samsung Internet web browser, such as those that have sexually explicit and violent content. Whereas, the latter allows you to set the maximum age rating for Galaxy Store so that your children can’t download applications or games rated beyond the age that you have specified.

Below the option to block explicit websites, Samsung says “No filter is perfect, but we’ll try to block sexually explicit and violent sites” which is only fair given how many websites are there offering such content.

As for the option to set a maximum rating in the Galaxy Store, it gives you five options: Based on age in the Samsung account, All ages, 12+, 16+, and 18+. As you might have figured out, the first one will set the maximum rating based on the age of the user mentioned in the Samsung account added to the phone.

Will other Samsung phones get it?

Both features will come in very handy for people who want to let their children use Galaxy S25 but want to keep them safe from harmful content. We expect One UI 7 to offer this feature on all devices. Unfortunately, Samsung hasn't rolled out the stable version of the new software to any eligible devices yet.
