We have great news for Galaxy Watch 5 users in India! The highly anticipated One UI Watch 5 update is rolling out. As of this writing, it seems to be available for the standard model with Wi-Fi connectivity; however, it will likely become available for the Watch 5 Pro and LTE variants momentarily.
One UI Watch 5 is based on Wear OS 4, and it's a pretty hefty update, weighing in at around 1.77GB. The update comes with the July 2023 security patch, but more importantly, it brings many new features and improvements to the Galaxy Watch 5.
Users in India should be able to download the firmware update through the Galaxy Wearable mobile app on their connected phones by tapping “Watch settings,” followed by “Watch software update” and “Download and install.” The update carries firmware version R9xxXXU1BWH5.

New tiles, better Health, app folders, and more
For the full list of changes introduced by One UI Watch 5, you can check out the screenshots below or the link Samsung provides in its changelog.
Some of the stand-out additions are two new tiles, an updated Buds Controller tile, redesigned sleep tracking with new options for skin temperature monitoring, improved fitness tracking with heart rate guidance and personalized heart rate zones, additional options to control your smartphone remotely, and more.
And now, with One UI Watch 5, you can organize your apps in folders, which makes the app drawer more approachable and speeds up the user experience.
Even though Samsung, as of this writing, appears to be rolling out the update exclusively for the Galaxy Watch 5 series in India, we're guessing the Galaxy Watch 4 lineup isn't too far behind. The Watch 4 is already getting One UI Watch 5 in the USA, and more markets should follow suit.
