Samsung is no longer the only company that makes foldable phones. Various smartphone brands from China released their first foldable phones last year, but they were limited to the Chinese market. This year, those smartphone OEMs have announced their second-generation foldable phones and have pledged to launch them in global markets. In fact, OPPO is bringing competitors to both Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Later this month, OPPO will launch the OPPO Find N2 and the OPPO Find N2 Flip during the Inno Day 2022. Both phones will have bigger batteries than their Samsung counterparts. The OPPO Find N2 Flip is exciting as it also features a bigger 3.26-inch display on the front and a 6.8-inch foldable display on the inside. The foldable screen reportedly uses Samsung's flagship E6 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The bigger cover display can be used to do a lot more things than the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is capable of.

The device will come equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor, 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP selfie camera. The Find N2 Flip is slightly heavier (191g) than the Galaxy Z Flip 4, but it has a bigger 4,300mAh battery and 44W fast charging. There have been rumors that even Samsung is planning to bring a 3-inch cover display to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, but it will still be smaller than the Find N2 Flip's 3.2-inch screen.

The OPPO Find N2, which competes with the Galaxy Z Fold 4, will be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen+ 1 chipset. However, the chipset will reportedly be downclocked for improved power consumption. It reportedly has a 7.1-inch inner foldable display (Samsung E6 AMOLED) with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the outside, it is expected to feature a 5.54-inch Samsung E6 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. It has a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera, a 32MP 2x zoom telephoto camera, and two 32MP selfie cameras.

OPPO's flagship foldable phone for 2023 will be powered by a 4,520mAh battery and support 67W fast charging. Both foldable phones from OPPO will have side-mounted fingerprint readers and Android 13-based ColorOS 13. They will come in three colorways: black, purple, and white. Samsung's current-generation foldable phones have very good battery life, but it needs to bring faster charging to the table.
