It's been a busy week at CES 2022, with Samsung unveiling the Galaxy S21 FE and new foldable and rollable display technologies wrapped up in unique form factors. We're on the CES show floor, and we had an opportunity to take a close-up look at and test many upcoming Samsung products, from a new portable projector-smart speaker called The Freestyle to the Odyssey Ark, Odyssey G8, and Odyssey G9 monitors. And now, it's time for Samsung's latest Neo QLED 8K smart TVs for 2022 to enter the scene.
Samsung has showcased its new 8K TV models — QN800B and QN900B — in 75-inch and 85-inch sizes, but we're being told that the company could also release a 65-inch variant.
Both the 75 and 85-inch models have thin bezels, but the larger variant goes a step further. It has extremely thin bezels thanks to what the company calls an “Infinity Screen” design. As far as image processing is concerned, both models are powered by the same Neural Quantum Processor 8K.
2022 Samsung TV models improve the image quality
Along with an improved design, the latest Neo QLED 8K TVs from Samsung also boast better image quality. The latest models are now utilizing 14-bit color at 16,384 levels of brightness. To put things into perspective, the previous generation Neo QLED TVs top out at 12-bit color with 4096 levels of brightness control.
The 2022 Neo QLED TVs from Samsung are game-ready and support a refresh rate of 120Hz in 4K resolution or 60Hz in 8K. Check our video below for a closer look at the new-gen New QLED TVs from Samsung at CES 2022, and stay tuned for more news.
