The Galaxy S21 FE should have been launched in August. That didn't happen. The company decided to delay the launch of its affordable flagship. Perhaps it didn't want to take away the spotlight from the new foldables. Or perhaps it really was forced to do so due to the chip shortage.
It has become clear in recent weeks that the Galaxy S21 FE is going to be launched. The device is now expected to be launched in late October. So it won't likely be in your hands until the first week of November at the very least.
That's quite late. Let's not forget, the Galaxy S22 series is due in January 2022. While some rumors claim that the new flagship could be out in December, that's highly unlikely. An early January launch can't be ruled out, considering that the Galaxy S21 series was unveiled on January 14, 2021.
This is one reason why we feel that the Galaxy S21 FE will be dead on arrival. What incentive will customers have to buy this phone when they know something better is coming just a couple of months later?
If you've been waiting for the Galaxy S21 FE, will you now consider buying the device? It could be that the device is just the right fit for your use case. Maybe you don't want to spend too much and just want a flagship-level experience at a competitive price. Or maybe you'd only decide once the Galaxy S22 series is out and you feel the Galaxy S21 FE remains a better option for you.
