Samsung has launched two promotional videos for the freshly-announced Galaxy Tab S6. They both star New York and London-based artist Coco Capitán and aim to show examples of how the tablet can fit into an artist’s workflow thanks to the inclusion of a new S Pen, Samsung Notes, and DeX functionality.

Coco Capitán is a photographer, painter, and poet, whose signature handwritten aphorisms have been used for marketing by fashion brands including Gucci. Now, her unique approach to pop art has been felt by the Galaxy Tab S6. In the promo video below, the artist claims that the stylus is very precise, giving a feeling similar to writing on paper. Likewise, the artist commends the tablet for being light and thin, making it easier to use with one hand.

The S Pen is an artist’s ally

The Galaxy Tab S6 features an improved stylus boasting a new gesture feature called S Pen Air, which offers the possibility to remotely control multimedia content on the device. The S Pen magnetically attaches to a groove on the back of the tablet and its internal battery recharges automatically whenever the stylus is placed in its slot.

This way, users won’t have to worry about recharging the S Pen as long as it's placed back in its groove when they're done using it. The new S Pen is rated for 10 hours standby and remains connected to the tablet at a distance of up to 10 meters. This range is put to good use as the S Pen has Bluetooth remote control features and doubles as a shutter button for the camera.

The secondary ultra-wide camera is a nice touch

Another feature that has been highlighted in the promotional videos is the dual-camera system featuring an ultra-wide-angle lens. The dual camera is a completely new addition to Samsung’s tablet lineup, as previous iterations have been equipped with a single rear-facing shooter. The new setup comprises a 13MP sensor with an 80-degree wide lens and F2.0 aperture, as well as the ultra-wide unit with a field of view of 123 degrees, F2.2 aperture, and a resolution of 5MP.

With the Galaxy Tab S6, Samsung appears to have steered its tablet lineup a little bit more into the area of tools designed to fuel creativity. But the tablet also promises to be a good choice for multimedia consumption, thanks to the inclusion of four speakers and the 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a pixel count of 2560 by 1600.
