Samsung is bringing back the physical rotating bezel to the Galaxy Watch series. And with less than two weeks to go before Unpacked, the so-called Galaxy Watch 6 Classic got spotted in the wild on the wrist of a professional football player.
The photo below (via Yonhap News / @GaryeonHan) captured professional football player Son Heung-min going through Terminal 1 at the Incheon International Airport. The Tottenham Hotspur player, who was on a break in Korea, departed in preparation for a new season on the morning of July 14.
Thinner bezel, bigger screen
Although the Galaxy Watch 6 is not yet available, the media quickly realized that Son Heung-min was wearing the Classic version. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is said to bring back the physical rotating bezel after missing from the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
The photo also seems to confirm that the Galaxy Watch 6 bezel is thinner than it used to be. The Premier League player's Galaxy Watch 6 Classic comes in black, but the smartwatch should be available in at least one other color option, i.e., silver.
Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Watch 6 series at Unpacked on July 26. The new smartwatches ship with the Wear OS 4-based One UI Watch 5 update, which focuses on improving health and fitness tracking with improved accuracy and more on-watch tools.
Prospective buyers can now reserve the Galaxy Watch 6 online, and if they then pre-order the watch, they can get $50 in Samsung Credit.
