With Halloween 2023 just around the corner, PC gamers wanting to experience a bit of horror are in for a real treat. To mark the Halloween season, the Epic Games Store is offering The Evil Within and its sequel for free.

The original The Evil Within game became available for download for free on the Epic Games Store late last week. Its sequel, The Evil Within 2, will also be available free of charge from the digital storefront soon.

Thanks to this free offer, you can own the entire Evil Within series without spending a dime, as long as you have an Epic Games Store account. And if you're looking for a horror game for Halloween, you can hardly do any better than these two.

Don't miss out on these classic survival horror games for PC

The Evil Within will be available for free from the Epic Games Store for two more days, until October 26. If you don't want to miss out, you better hurry.

Its sequel, The Evil Within 2, will be available for download for free from the Epic Games Store between October 26 and November 2. And it would be a shame to get the sequel for free and miss out on the first game.

Once you claim these two games for free, they're yours to keep. They're not going to expire from your games library. So, you have nothing to lose by claiming them from the Epic Games Store, especially if you're into the horror genre.

The first Evil Within was originally released in 2014 for the PlayStation 3, the PS4, the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One, as well as Windows. The Evil Within 2 was released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows in 2017. Even though they're relatively old, they're still among the better survival horror video games out there.
