At CES 2023, Samsung showcased the Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor. We got a chance to experience it and we were blown away by the stunning display. Back then, however, the company had neither announced its pricing nor its availability details. Well, the tech giant has now revealed that it will launch the Odyssey OLED G9 in the US on June 12th, 2023. Along with it, Samsung has also opened reservations for the flagship gaming monitor with a bunch of exciting offers.
People reserving the Odyssey OLED G9 will get a $50 instant discount on the purchase of the product along with a $250 Samsung gift card. You don’t need to pay anything to reserve the gaming monitor. Just enter your name and e-mail ID on the reservation page, and that’s it. If you decide to go ahead with the purchase, you will get a $50 instant discount (when you purchase it from Samsung’s website, of course) along with a $250 Samsung gift card.
Odyssey OLED G9 monitor isn't cheap, but it has excellent features
Although there’s no official information on the pricing of the Odyssey OLED G9, a retailer has revealed that the company’s flagship gaming monitor will retail for €2,449 ($2,614) in Europe. While that price tag will make the Odyssey OLED G9 very expensive, the gaming monitor will still offer excellent value for money considering the features it packs, which includes a massive, 49-inch QD-OLED panel with 5K resolution and a whopping 240Hz refresh rate.
Furthermore, the Odyssey OLED G9 has an impressive 1ms (GTG) response time and variable refresh rate. However, Samsung hasn’t revealed if it supports AMD FreeSync or Nvidia GSync, or both. As you might expect, the monitor features HDMI 2.1 ports. What’s even more interesting is that Odyssey OLED G9 comes with Samsung Smart Hub, which means you can use apps like Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube on it, providing a smart TV-like experience.
If you are looking for the ultimate gaming monitor and have money to spare, the Odyssey OLED G9 should be on your shortlist, and in that case, reserving one now could be a good idea.
