The end of the week is here, and it's calling for a new SamMobile podcast. By now, you probably already know that it's been a busy week for Samsung and fans of the brand. The company's next major tech event for 2022 is almost here, and the company is finally ready to make things official.

SamMobile Podcast Episode 16 recaps some of this week's bigger news. Samsung has finally set a date for Unpacked 2022, and its next foldable flagship phones and wearable devices will get unveiled on August 10. This gives us only a couple more SamMobile Podcast Episodes before we get our hands on these devices for first impression videos and reviews.

And speaking of smartwatches, our YouTube host Benjamin will also walk you through the latest Qualcomm announcements. In case you missed the news, the chipmaker revealed a massively upgraded chipset series for smartwatches earlier this week, called the W5 Gen 1. It's sort of a response to Samsung's W920 chipset for smartwatches, although it might have a higher energy efficiency.

Join us on YouTube for our latest podcast, and feel free to add to the conversation in the comment section. Are you excited about Samsung's next Unpacked event? Is Qualcomm / the new W5 Gen 1 series the answer to all the major problems the Wear OS platform has?
