Alongside its new MicroLED, Neo QLED, and lifestyle TVs, Samsung also announced its 2022 soundbar lineup earlier today. Select soundbars in the company's new series feature Wireless Dolby Atmos, allowing Dolby Atmos to work on the soundbar and the TV together without a wired connection.
The company didn't list its new soundbars' names or model numbers but said that the new models feature improved audio quality and sleeker designs. The improved Q Symphony feature allows the top-firing speakers inside its 2022 Neo QLED TVs and the drivers inside the soundbar to work together to create a more immersive sound.
The South Korean firm's HW-S800B Ultra Slim Soundbar comes with tall claims of offering deep bass despite its slim design (1.6-inch). The company said that the passive radiator inside the soundbar works with the slim subwoofer for additional bass. The new soundbar also features top-firing speakers for overhead audio effects.
These new soundbars are expected to go on sale within the next few months, alongside Samsung's 2022 smart TV lineup.
Simon Sung, Executive Vice President and Head of the Sales & Marketing Team of the Visual Display Business at Samsung, said, “The role of the screen has changed dramatically in recent years with advancements in technology and how entertainment is distributed. With our new lineup of products, we are providing customers an entirely immersive video and audio experience that is customizable to their needs. Whether you are a movie buff, TV lover, gamer or even an art enthusiast, Samsung has leading-edge offerings that can enhance any room.”
