At the Consumer Electronics Show 2022 back in January, Samsung unveiled the Odyssey Neo G8. This is the world's first 4K monitor that has a whopping 240Hz refresh rate. As you'd expect, a lot of gamers are waiting for this product to go on sale.
As with most products unveiled at CES, the pricing and availability information wasn't confirmed at the time. Now, though, the company has hinted that the Samsung 4K 240Hz gaming monitor may finally be available for purchase in the near future.
Odyssey Neo G8 to go on sale soon
Samsung's Odyssey Neo G8 has a MiniLED display panel and boasts up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. The 240Hz refresh rate, a 1ms grey-to-grey response time and a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio make it a truly premium gaming monitor. It also has support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, HDR10+, and NVIDIA G-Sync.
Obviously, it's difficult to understand just how good the monitor is based off this laundry list of capabilities. Lucky for you, we have a hands-on video with the Odyssey Neo G8 from its CES outing that you should definitely check out.
The official Twitter account for Samsung US hinted today that the world's first 4K, 240Hz gaming monitor is coming soon. This is a clear indication that Samsung is going to start selling this product in the near future. A lot of people will be happy that they can finally get their hands on this premium product.
No pricing or availability information has been confirmed as yet but it should arrive in due course. As always, we'll keep you updated.
