Samsung launches 77-inch and 83-inch OLED TVs in Europe

Earlier this year, Samsung launched its QD-OLED TVs in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch sizes. A couple of months ago, the company revealed an 83-inch OLED TV that uses a WRGB OLED panel from LG Display, and it was launched in the US. Now, Samsung has launched 77-inch and 83-inch WRGB OLED TVs in Europe.

For the European market, Samsung's WRGB OLED TV comes in 77-inch and 83-inch sizes. These TVs come in two variants: S89C and S91C. The S89C has a table mount stand that has an adjustable width, while the S91C has a conventional table mount stand that we've seen on several other high-end TVs from Samsung. The South Korean firm also showcased these new OLED TV models at its IFA 2023 booth in Berlin, Germany.

The S89C OLED TV has model numbers QE77S89C for the 77-inch version and QE83S89C for the 83-inch version. The S91C OLED TV carries model numbers QT77S91C and QT83S91C for 77-inch and 83-inch variants, respectively. The pricing of these TVs will vary depending on the country, and it's best to check them out on your local Samsung website.

Samsung S89C and S91C WRGB OLED TV features

Both these WRGB OLED TVs have a feature set similar to their QD-OLED counterparts. These TVs feature a 4K panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 0.1ms response time, VRR, HDR10, HDR10+, HDR10+ Adaptive, HDR10+ GAMING, HLG, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, Pantone Validation, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Regarding audio, the TVs have a 40W 2.1-channel speaker setup, Wireless Dolby Atmos, Q-Symphony 2.0, Active Voice Amplifier, Adaptive Sound Plus, and Object Tracking Sound Lite.

These WRGB OLED TVs have a Quantum Neural Processor and run the Tizen 7.0 OS. They have a 400 x 300mm VESA mount. These TVs also feature Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct, Wireless DeX, DLNA, AirPlay 2, Miracast, MultiView, SmartView, Bluetooth 5.2, Tap View, Tap Sound, optical audio out port, four HDMI 2.1 ports (one with eARC), one Ethernet port, and three USB Type-A ports.

The S89C and S91C OLED TVs also have a Solar Cell Remote that can be charged using ambient light, nearby radio waves, and the USB Type-C port. The TVs also feature Alexa, Bixby, Game Bar, Google Assistant, Samsung Gaming Hub, Samsung Health, Samsung TV Plus, SmartThings, SmartThings Hub, and Super Ultrawide GameView.
