At CES 2022, Samsung has released its oddly-named ‘837X' virtual world in the blockchain-powered Decentraland metaverse. ‘Samsung 837X' is described as a ‘fully immersive experience' that offers visitors quests, NFTs, and access to live music events, as well as previews from Samsung's CES 2022 keynote.
Anyone with access to the Chrome internet browser on a desktop computer can access Samsung 837X in Decentraland for free, either using an account or as a guest.
Samsung 837X has three main areas: a Customization Stage, the Sustainability Forest, and the Connectivity Theater. Visitors can embark on quests and collect NFT badges.
Samsung's virtual space will exist for a limited time, but visitors can earn NFTs in the form of virtual wearable items from three collections.
Visitors can earn exclusive wearable rewards
Samsung will reward 727 random guests who have collected one badge with two items from the Epic Wearable Collection. Samsung will also reward 100 random guests who have collected two badges with three items from the Legendary Wearable Collection, and 10 random guests will earn the full Mythic Wearable Collection, as long as they have collected all four badges.
According to previous reports, Samsung is also joining the ZEPETO metaverse with a virtual space called “My House.” Unlike 837X, the My House experience will be focused on house decorations rather than wearable items.
