A rule of thumb in the TV world is “The bigger the screen, the higher the price.” Of course, size isn't the only thing that can affect a TV's price, and other technologies play a role in determining the bottom line, but a big panel usually means an expensive TV. Thankfully, Black Friday deals tend to turn the tables, and as of this writing, Samsung has a great offer on its monster 98-inch Q80C QLED TV.

Thanks to an ongoing Black Friday deal, customers can get the Q80C QLED at a significant 38% discount.

Although we haven't experienced the Q80C QLED for ourselves, we had an opportunity to check out a different 98-inch QLED Samsung TV at CES earlier this year, and we got the impression that it could be a projector killer. Seeing an oversized 98-inch TV in action can be a bit jaw-dropping.

Story continues after the video

Now, back to the Q80C QLED TV. The 98-inch monster TV usually costs $7,999, but thanks to this ongoing Black Friday deal, it is now available for $4,999.

And if you'd rather take advantage of this discount and buy the TV through Samsung Financing, the Q80C will set you back $208.33 a month instead of $333.33.

Q80C QLED specifications

The 98-inch Q80C QLED TV has a 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) and supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It has features like Alexa and Google Assistant built-in, as well as services such as Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Health, SmartThings, Game Bar 3.0, Gaming Hub (which lets users play games without a PC or console), FreeSync Premium Pro, and Q-Symphony 3.0.

The Q80C 4K QLED ships with a SolarCell Remote. Connectivity-wise, it has two USB ports, four HDMI ports with support for 4K@120Hz, an optical audio port, a LAN port, and the usual antenna port. There's also Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and support for Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).

Hit the “Buy” button below for more details on the Q80C discount. Keep in mind that this is a limited-time Black Friday deal, and there's no way to predict when you might get another chance to save 38%.
