Samsung has revealed that the sales of its air conditioners (ACs) in the general consumer market have increased drastically this summer in its South Korea. The company said it is running its AC manufacturing lines at full capacity 10 days earlier than usual.
Samsung's AC sales in Korea increase by more than 50% in the summer of 2025
In the first quarter of this year, Samsung's AC sales have jumped by 51% compared to the same period last year. And if you consider the month of March, sales have increased by 61% compared to sales from March 2024. Sales of Bespoke AI WindFree Classic (standing model) AC units rose 80% compared to last year.
Due to increased demand, Samsung has set up a team of 4,700 AC installation engineers so that people can get their new ACs installed quickly. These engineers not only install the AC but also set up the SmartThings app on users' phones.
In March, Samsung unveiled its new AC lineup for the year 2025. It includes Bespoke AI WindFree Classic, Bespoke AI WindFree Combo Gallery, AI WindFree Combo Wall Mount, and AI Q9000. All these models feature AI Comfort and AI Energy Mode. AI Comfort sets up a comfortable environment in the room, while AI Energy Mode can save up to 30% electricity.
Samsung is currently running a promotional offer in which KRW 500,000 worth of cashback or Samsung Electronics Membership points are being given to people who buy the 2025 version of the Bespoke AI WindFree Combo Gallery AC. They will also get one free professional disassembly and cleaning service. Those who are upgrading from an older AC will get KRW 100,000 worth of additional benefits.
People who get these new ACs using the AI Subscription Club will get free repairs for 3 or 5 years, depending on the model, comprehensive inspection, and professional disassembly and cleaning services.
