Samsung announced new QD-OLED TVs, including the S95C and S90C models, at CES 2023, but the company didn't say anything about an exact release date and pricing. Fast forward a few weeks later, and the first pricing details for the 77-inch S95C have emerged from Samsung's website in the USA.
This early reveal appears to be somewhat accidental. As of this writing, the new S95C QD-OLED smart TV is not yet available for purchase, but despite this, the TV pops up on the Samsung US portal when visitors use the search term “OLED.”
Clicking on or tapping the 77-inch S95C entry in the OLED listing leads to a “Page not found” prompt, which means that Samsung is not yet ready to sell the TV. But despite this, the list entry exists and happens to include the TV's price. Whether or not it is final remains to be seen, but it probably is.
77-inch Samsung S95C OLED (2023) to cost $4,499
The 77-inch Samsung QD-OLED TV model is brand-new. The 2022 QD-OLED series didn't have as large of a variant when it debuted last year, which made guessing the price of the 77-inch model for 2023 very difficult.
The guesswork might now be over, at least for the 77-inch S95C. The listing on Samsung's website suggests that the TV will cost $4,499. However, prices for the 77-inch S90C model or the smaller QD-OLED 2023 variants are still unknown.
The S95C is the top of the range, and the S90C should be more affordable as it lacks the Samsung One Connect box feature and uses OTS Lite instead of OTS Plus Sound. In any case, $4,499 is the highest Samsung seems to want to go for the new QD-OLED TV series, and all other entries in the 2023 lineup should cost less.
