The Galaxy S24 series smartphones brought Galaxy AI with One UI 6.1, a suite of very useful AI-powered features, including Live Translate, Interpreter, Chat Assist, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, and Browsing Assist, which the company has already expanded to older smartphones and tablets. Most of these features support up to thirteen languages. Well, the South Korean tech giant is now adding support for more languages and dialects to Galaxy AI to make the feature accessible to people in more regions across the globe.
According to Samsung, over Spring 2024, it will add support for three languages, Arabic, Indonesian, and Russian, and three dialects, Australian English, Cantonese, and Canadian French, to Galaxy AI. In addition to that, later this year, the company will add support for four languages, Romanian, Turkish, Dutch, and Swedish, and two dialects, traditional Chinese and European Portuguese to the suite of AI features.
Commenting on the matter, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, TM Roh, said “Committed to democratizing mobile AI for all, Galaxy AI’s language expansion this year will allow even more Galaxy users to communicate beyond language barriers on a scale that is completely unique to Samsung. We will continue to innovate our technology and pioneer premium mobile AI experiences so that even more users are equipped with the right tools to unleash their unlimited potential.”
