On Thursday, Samsung started rolling out Android 15-based One UI 7.0 in many countries in Europe, including Germany. As the brand had stated earlier, it released the update to the Galaxy S24 and will soon offer it to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, the company hasn’t provided a timeframe for when it is going to offer the new software to other devices in the region. Well, we now have some information on that front.
On X, Tarun Vats has posted images of what seems like Samsung’s official communication about when it is going to roll out Android 15-based One UI 7.0 for every eligible device in Germany. According to these images, the rollout will go on till July 2025. It also reveals that the tech giant will offer it to new and costly devices first, then to older and more affordable ones. Samsung will continue the One UI 7 rollout till it releases One UI 8
After delaying the rollout of Android 15-based One UI 7.0 multiple times, when Samsung finally announced that it would release the update in April, people were happy that they would finally get it this month. Unfortunately, as the latest leak reveals, it won't be the case for many people, which may push them away from Samsung.
Earlier today, Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 was spotted on Geekbench with Android 16-based One UI 8.0. Considering that it will launch the phone in July 2025, One UI 8.0 is only three months away. It also means that the company will continue the One UI 7 rollout till it releases One UI 8, which is a big dent in Samsung's image.
