Samsung has partnered with Australia's most beloved brand of jeans, Dr Denim, and has just announced a new pair of limited-run jeans that embrace and celebrate the unique folding form factor of the Galaxy Z Flip 3. They come with a special pocket.
The main advantage of a folding phone is the reduced footprint. Thanks to its clamshell design, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is one of the most compact smartphones ever created — at least when folded shut.
Dr Denim apparently views the Galaxy Z Flip 3 as a trendsetter that could negate the benefits of having large, uncomfortable rectangular pants pockets. The fashion house applied this philosophy to a new pair of Z-labeled jeans, and it came up with a design that features a small pocket. It's sized perfectly for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 to fit in.

The Z Flip Pocket Denim jeans cost $1,499 a pair. It may seem like they cost more than the phone itself, but that's not the case. The $1,499 price includes a pair of Z Flip Pocket Denim jeans as well as the Galaxy Z Flip 3 to place in its unique pocket.
Dr Denim will manufacture only 450 pairs of Z Flip Pocket Denim jeans, but who knows?! Perhaps the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will redefine fashion trends and mark the end of baggy pockets.
Samsung's fashion collaborations for foldables have so far led to the release of limited-edition versions of said devices — such as the Thom Browne Edition. But as foldable phones become more popular, Samsung could start approaching fashion collabs in different creative ways.
