A few days ago, Samsung started rolling out the April 2025 security patch to its smartphones. However, back then, it did not disclose which security flaws it fixed with the new security update. Now, the company has detailed the April 2025 security patch for Galaxy devices.
April 2025 security patch fixes 56 security flaws found in Galaxy devices
On its security bulletin webpage, Samsung has detailed the April 2025 security patch for Galaxy phones and tablets. It brings a total of 56 fixes for security vulnerabilities found in the company's devices, and 42 of those fixes come from Google, while the rest of them are Samsung-specific issues only found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
5 fixes from Google in the April 2025 security patch are marked critical, while 37 were tagged as being of High priority. The company provided five additional fixes but they don't apply on Samsung devices. Samsung fixed one critical, four high-priority, and four moderate security vulnerabilities in house and included them in the April 2025 security patch.
Some of those Samsung-specific issues included security loopholes in things like the Sticker Center, clipboard, HDCP, Samsung Contacts, wireless download protocol for Galaxy Watches, input manager, and in the Bluetooth pairing process for Galaxy Watches.
Samsung has already released the April 2025 security patch to some phones, including the Galaxy S25 series and the ones that received the stable One UI 7.0 update. More devices will get the update in the coming days.
