Smartphone screen replacement can be quite costly, and Samsung's Care+ premium service plan aims to reduce that burden. However, Samsung charges a $29 fee for cracked or damaged screen replacement. Now, the company is removing that fee in select Samsung Care+ plans.
Samsung Care+ Theft and Loss plan to get free screen replacement starting 2025
Samsung has announced that starting January 15, 2025, it will start offering completely free screen repair (including front and back glass) for Galaxy devices. The company is removing the $29 fee it used to charge earlier for every screen replacement. However, this is only applicable to the Theft and Loss tier of Samsung Care+.
The South Korean firm is calling this perk “Zero Dollar Screen Repairs.” It includes screen repairs done through mail-in, walk-in, and at-store processes.
This perk doesn't include free screen replacement for folding screens on Galaxy Z series phones. It is entirely understandable, as screens used in foldable phones are quite costly compared to screens used in regular, slab-style smartphones.

The price of the Samsung Care+ plan varies depending on the price of the phone. The company added unlimited battery replacements to the program earlier this year.
