Samsung has released an update to its stock Clock app which brings a redesigned clock widget, new features to the timer notifications in the notification bar, and additional options to the timer pop-up. The update bumps the app’s version to 12.2.05.19 and is currently rolling out to all Samsung devices across the globe.
Let’s talk about the clock widget first. Samsung has updated its font style and background color for an improved look. The previous version of the clock widget looked great, and with these minor optimizations, it looks even better. As for the timer notification in the notification bar, clicking on it will now open the timer screen in the Samsung Clock app, making it easier for you to go to the timer section from anywhere on the device.
When you start a new timer in Samsung Clock and minimize the app, a pop-up appears on the screen showing the timer status. Well, Samsung has now added two new options to it. The first option is to delete the timer, which means you can delete a timer anytime you want without going to the Samsung Clock app. The second option is to switch between different timers. This option will come in handy when you have multiple timers set.
You can update the Samsung Clock app either from Galaxy Store or Play Store. Samsung has also updated many other apps recently. That update for Nearby Device Scanning brings support for Matter. The one for Good Lock offers users the ability to update all modules at once. And the update to Keys Cafe brings new themes.
