Galaxy S22 customers could soon have the opportunity to participate in an Android 13 One UI 5.0 beta program! Samsung was recently spotted working on an Android 13 beta firmware for the Galaxy S22 in South Korea, signaling that a public beta build could be released soon.
The Galaxy S22 Android13 beta software reportedly has firmware version S906NKSU2ZVF6 (via TizenHelp). It runs on the Korean Galaxy S22, but if the beta program goes live soon, it should become available in more markets.
Thanks to Samsung's latest firmware policy changes, Galaxy devices sold in Europe are no longer bound to CSC (Country Specific Codes). As a result, customers in countless European countries that were usually left out of beta programs could also gain access to Galaxy S22 beta firmware soon.
When might Samsung release the first One UI 5.0 public beta build?
Samsung hasn't joined Google's Android 13 beta program yet. The company is expected to pair Android 13 with One UI 5.0, so it follows its own development schedule.
However, our sources told us back in April that Samsung aims to start the public beta testing phase for Android 13 and One UI 5.0 in July. We're nearing the end of June, and with Samsung now showing signs of working on an Android 13 beta build, the program could open to the public at any moment.
We'll keep you up to speed as soon as we find out more about Samsung's plans for Android 13 and the One UI beta on the Galaxy S22. Stay tuned and let us know if you plan to join the pre-release testing phase.
