The Galaxy Z Fold 3 reached its lowest price around Black Friday when Amazon sold the foldable phone for $1,499. Now, the online retailer has another offer ready for the iconic foldable device, and in case you're wondering, the price has reached a new low — even if by a small margin.
The unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G is now available from Amazon for $1,486.16 after a $313.80 discount. The difference isn't huge compared to the Black Friday discount, but it's a new low nonetheless.
The $1,486 price tag applies only to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G in Phantom Black. The Phantom Green and Phantom Silver color options are cheaper too, only by a lower margin.
Customers who are willing to pay a little extra can save big on the 512GB model Galaxy Z Fold 3 in black. It's available for just $1,550 after an 18% discount ($349), down from the original $1,788 price.
Meanwhile, Samsung is selling the 256GB / 512GB Galaxy Z Fold 3 on its website at a flat discount of $150 for $1,649 and $1,749.
Regardless of where you buy the Galaxy Z Flip 3, the offer includes a free pair of Galaxy Buds 2, which would normally set you back an additional $149.
Samsung may not want to give Oppo a chance
This new deal comes at the perfect time to challenge OPPO's first foldable phone, the latter of which may have a fighting chance to put the company on the foldable device map. OPPO's smartphone is cheaper by about $500 than the Galaxy Z Fold 3 at full price, which is nothing to sneeze at, even if Samsung's foldable is technically superior and sits at the forefront of mobile tech.
Samsung has struggled to make its foldable phones cheaper every year, and to a degree — and especially thanks to the Galaxy Z Flip series — the company succeeded. Now it will have to maintain its market dominance and remain competitive. Expect more similar deals to pop up at any time, and stay tuned for more.
