With the launch of the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year, Samsung's marketing campaigns seem to have evolved beyond giant billboards in densely populated areas. The company found cleverer ways to promote Galaxy AI and the new flagship phones and hasn't yet stopped coming up with new ideas.

Samsung's marketing for the latest flagships is as diverse as you can imagine. After promoting Galaxy AI and the S24 series through airplane shows in South Africa, subway stations in London, and a unique airplane livery for a Kenyan airline, Samsung is now shining the spotlight on the Galaxy S24 series in Malaysia through an escape room adventure.

The experience, called AI-Volution, was set up at the Semua House mall in collaboration with Bomb Battle. The escape room adventure has a whimsical sci-fi theme and integrates the Galaxy S24 and its AI capabilities.

Use Galaxy AI and the S24 to complete five stages

The escape room adventure set up by Samsung and Bomb Battle at Semua House invites players to investigate a seemingly abandoned spacecraft for signs of alien presence.

Participants will have to navigate each of the spacecraft's rooms with care and uncover puzzles using the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy AI features such as Note Assist, Chat Assist, Live Transslate, and Generative Edit.

The Galaxy AI-Volution game is open to everyone and consists of five stages, four of which reward participants with points they can later redeem for prizes. The five stages are:

  • Welcome Aboard — An introduction that offers tips to help you along the way.
  • Ready for Takeoff (5 points upon completion) — Enroll in the space program using a photo ID you can capture at the AI Edit Photowall.
  • AI-Volution x Bomb Battle (15 points upon completion) — Decode puzzles and escape using the Galaxy S24.
  • The Winning Shot (5 points upon completion) — Take a winning selfie in the Nightography room using the S24.
  • Share the Victory (5 points upon completion) — Share and tag a victorious group photo to redeem gifts.

The points players earn from completing these stages can be redeemed for exclusive merchandise and POP MART figurines.

In addition to launching this promotional escape room adventure, Samsung announced that it will team up with Curators.Lab and The Messy Club from May 3 to May 26 to create new retail experiences for prospective Galaxy S24 buyers in Malaysia.
