Samsung to display Galaxy AI, One UI, SmartThings, Tizen improvements in October

Samsung has announced that the next Samsung Developer Conference (2024) will be held on October 3, 2024. The company's annual developers' conference showcases major improvements to One UI, Samsung Knox, SmartThings, and Tizen. This year, the company is expected to showcase One UI 7.0 and Tizen 8.0.

One UI 7.0 could be showcased at Samsung Developer Conference 2024

The Samsung Developer Conference 2024 will start on October 3, 2024, and will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, California, USA. It will be Samsung's tenth developer conference, and the South Korean firm plans to “celebrate a decade of open innovation and collaboration with developers, partners and customers with a focus on how to make the most of today’s AI innovation.

The keynote at the event will be live-streamed on YouTube (Samsung's YouTube channel) at 10:00 AM PT and will highlight Samsung's innovations and new features across Galaxy AI, Knox, SmartThings, and Tizen. The company will also showcase how app developers can use Galaxy AI to create more powerful apps.

JH Han, Vice Chairman, CEO, and Head of Samsung DX at Samsung Electronics, will open the Samsung Developer Conference 2024 with their keynote. Samsung plans to showcase a more personalized and multi-device AI that is safe to use. It can be used across home appliances, smartphones, tablets, and TVs. He will also speak about Samsung's AI ethics

The company will also discuss One UI, Samsung Health, SmartThings, and more. At the event, Samsung will likely showcase the new features it plans to ship with One UI 7.0 (based on Android 15).

During the event, high-level executives from Device Platform Center, Samsung DX (digital appliances business), Samsung MX (mobile devices business), Samsung Research, and Samsung Visual Display (TV business) will talk about the company's newest technologies and initiatives.

Developers can attend Open Stage sessions to get industry insights from experts, have hands-on demos of the latest Samsung products and services at Tech Square, and explore new software development tools (SDKs) during the event.
